Agronomy 21 is a service course for students pursuing agriculture and agri-related studies after taking Biology 11 as a prerequisite. It gives students the background of important field crops, like cereal grains, grain legumes, root and tuber crops, fiber, and other farm crops. It tackles basic crop production concepts and principles, classification, adaptation, growth and development, improvement, seed production, certification, fertilizer usage, and other crop management practices.
The course's objective is to develop an awareness of the concept and principles of producing field crops and improve students' working knowledge and skills in the culture and management of growing them. It will eventually help students if they pursue to become a teacher, researcher, extension agents, or as a private practitioner in the field of agriculture.
