The course provides a fundamental understanding of matter and energy. Its interaction, thermo and electrochemical principles, structures and bonding of building materials and technological advances of material science. This course also explains chemical processes in the natural environment, ecological problems and existing laws promulgated to mitigate such problems. Further, this also provides an empirical experience by applying chemical principles in hands-on experiment
