This course is for students pursuing agricultural courses after taking Biology 11 as prerequisite. This is to give you background of important field crops with emphasis on cereal grains, grain legumes, root and tuber crops, fiber and other farm crops as to their classification, adaptation, distribution, growth and development, improvement, seed production and certification, as well as the principles and practices of crop management, harvesting and post harvest processing.
The objective of the course is to develop awareness on the concept and importance of producing field crops and improve working knowledge and skills in the culture and management of growing field crops.
