The course provides an introductory and fundamental understanding of organic principles, molecules, and reactions. It explains the relationship between molecular structure and properties and provides a bridge between theories and well-known current practical applications especially in the field of food technology, agriculture, and veterinary medicine. It also discusses the different types of organic reactions and how those reactions take place. The chemistry of organic compounds is discussed according to their functional groups. This is an introductory course in Organic Chemistry.
