This course gives background for the mathematical concepts, problems, and techniques that appear in the calculus course. Topics include the fundamental concepts of algebra, functions and graphs, polynomial and rational functions, exponential and logarithmic functions, trigonometric functions, analytic trigonometry, sine and cosine laws, systems of equations and inequalities, and topics in analytic geometry.
