The course exposes the students to certain fundamental concepts and
principles in biology. It introduces the nature, importance, development and
methods of biology. It includes an elaborate discussion on cell structure,
function and processes, the different human body systems and ecology. Aside
from learning content, opportunities for developing scientific attitudes and process
skills are also provided in this course.
